The teachers and students of the High School Attached to Tsinghua University went to the German Salem Royal School for exchange and study during the winter vacation
From January 25 to February 4, 2019, 12 students from Grade One of Tsinghua High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University, led by Liu Wei and Wang Min, went to Salem High School, Germany, for a 10-day exchange study。

The teachers and students of the Affiliated High School have observed the curriculum in the middle grade Department and the Upper grade Department of Salem Palace High School，I have experienced different types of courses such as natural science, geographical environment, experiment class and community service.Some students also took the final English exam with their German partners，Completed a small paper on topics such as "artificial intelligence" and "the era of big Data"。Ms. Yasmin from Salem Royal High School also gave the students an introduction to German, in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, students mastered the basic German greetings。As a representative of Tsinghua High School, Du Heng gave a keynote speech at the whole school assembly in Salem, and presented the campus environment, curriculum, student associations, sports venues and other aspects of Tsinghua High School in an illustrated way, which won warm applause from everyone。

In addition to observing lessons, the teachers and students of Tsinghua High School also visited many local places of interest。At the Pile Dwelling Museum，The students intuitively understood the living and living conditions of ancient people in the Stone Age and Bronze Age;At Birnau Church，The students were fascinated by the beautiful Baroque art;In Meersburg Castle，The students have a deeper understanding of the architectural history, style and characteristics of medieval castles。The quiet and comfortable small town of Constance, the industrial city of Stuttgart, and the prosperous Zurich give students a comprehensive sense of Europe。Over the weekend, 12 students from the secondary school went to their host families to experience German family life in depth, and spent a happy and fulfilling weekend。

At the end of the exchange, Salem Royal High School held a farewell dinner for the teachers and students of Tsinghua High School, and the principal of Salem Royal High School personally attended and delivered a speech。He spoke highly of the teachers and students of the High School。Zhou Hongyu, the representative of Affiliated High School, gave a speech with the keyword of "same and different". From the aspects of student style and classroom atmosphere, he summarized the harvest and sentiment of the past ten days. His sincere and humorous speech aroused the resonance of everyone。

Located on the banks of Lake Baden in southern Germany, the Salem Royal School was founded in 1920 and is the largest and best middle school in Germany。The teachers and students said that the trip was fruitful。Through this exchange activity, I have gained insight, understood the local culture and customs, and forged a deep friendship with the students of Salem Royal High School. German teachers and students will pay a return visit to Tsinghua High School in October 2019。
